Sì il dvd è finalmente uscito. Ma ci sono contenuti speciali oppure no? E se sì quali sono?

più che Sissi che è già stata portata tante volte sullo schermo sarebbe invece l'occasione di portare altre regine o principesse sul grande schermo, magari meno sfruttate, chissà che non ne esca fuori qualcosa di interessante, però ovviamente che abbiano uno stile epico e storico per davvero.

Secondo noi il film non è malaccio però concordiamo in parte con quanto detto sul fatto che trasmette una visione un po' negativa di Maria Antonietta. La Richardson è bravissima e dà un'aura alla regina ma in certi momenti non dà proprio l'idea della vera Maria Antonietta, fisicamente va bene ma come carattere non proprio: anche quando si sganascia con la sua amica dopo aver rifiutato la collana, non è certo un comportamento molto regale.
Per quanto riguarda i film di Sissi, sono anni '50, lì la visione era molto differente dagli anni '90 e 2000, c'era molta più censura e consideriamo anche che i film di Sissi non sono poi tutto questo granchè, sono anche molto ma molto idealizzati dalla maggior parte del pubblico, quando in realtà più che film storici sono delle commediole. Anche il film della Coppola alla fin fine è più una commedia su una giovane donna che non un film storico vero e proprio.
Un film storico secondo noi non dev'essere una commedia, non ci azzecca nulla una commedia tutta sorrisi, moine, ammiccamenti, ecc con la vera storia di una sovrana, un film storico che si rispetta secondo noi dev'essere un film di tipo epico, alla Via col vento (acnhe se questo film non è un film biografico, ma un film tratto da un romanzo, ma l'abbiamo preso come esempio per farci capire come secondo noi dev'essere un film storico epico). Poi comunque questa è una nostra idea. Siamo dell'idea che, al momento, il miglior film su Maria Antonietta è il film del 1938, per carità romanzato è vero ma il più epico tra tutti i film sulla regina Non abbiamo ancora visto il film con Michele Mogan e la serie tv degli anni '70 con Geneviève Casile, è ferma su emule alla terza puntata.

Una serie su Mary Stuart per la CW

The CW ha intenzione di sviluppare una serie sul personaggio di Mary Stuart, regina di Scozia tra il 1542 e il 1567: la serie, intitolata Reign, racconterà le vicende della regina adolescente, in un contesto fantastico descritto come l’incrocio tra Game of Thrones e Marie Antoniette di Sofia Coppola.

Anche noi ne abbiamo sentito parlare molto bene ma purtroppo non l'abbiamo ancora visto... la Adjani è una bravissima attrice quindi siamo curiosissimi di vederla in un ruolo così impegnato.

Il titolo della versione di Anna Karenina con Carol Alt era Il Grande Fuoco ed era una miniserie in due puntate per Canale 5. Non era in costume ma una versione moderna ambientata a Roma. Come miniserie ebbe anche un notevole successo negli anni '90. è stata anche replicata sul finire degli anni '90 e nei primi anni 2000 alla mattina su Rete 4.

Il film con Vivien Leigh era bellissimo. L'intrpretazione di Vivien era magistrale, trasmetteva verament eil pathos e coinvolgeva per davvero. Accanto a lei c'era un giovane Kieron Moore nel ruolo del suo innamorato, molto bravo anche lui.

Il film con Greta Garbo anche è superlativo.

Il film con la Knightley e quello con la Puccini sicuramente li vedremo, però non è che si rischia l'assuefazione con Anna Karenina?

Tra l'altro in tv Anna Karenina è stata portata in Italia altre due volte, uno sceneggiato del 1974 con Lea Massari nel ruolo della protagonista e una versione moderna nel 1995 con Carol Alt.

acquisition of The Rose of Versailles anime series from TMS Entertainment.
Also known as “Berusaiyu no Bara” and “Lady Oscar,” The Rose of Versailles will be released via Right Stuf’s
Nozomi Entertainment as two limited-edition DVD box sets in 2013. The series will also be streamed,
beginning in December 2012, and made available exclusively to fans in the United States and
Canada on Viki (viki.com), as part of the site’s growing anime lineup. This will be the first time the entire
anime series will be available to English-speaking audiences in North America.
Additionally, Nozomi Entertainment wants fans’ questions for an upcoming Q&A interview with Riyoko
Ikeda, the creator of The Rose of Versailles. Please submit questions, via the form located at the official
series site (rov.rightstuf.com), by 4 p.m. CDT on Thurs., Nov. 1, 2012.

intrigue that centers around Oscar François de Jarjayes, a young woman whose father has raised her as a man –
and trained her to be an elite and skilled soldier – so she can succeed him as the commander of the palace guards.
The Rose of Versailles is based upon the best-selling manga (comic) by Riyoko Ikeda (Dear Brother, a.k.a.
Oniisama e...), which was originally serialized in Shueisha’s shoujo (girls’) anthology magazine Margaret, from
1972 through 1973, and later collected into 10 volumes. In addition to its anime adaptation, it inspired a short
story collection (also written by Ikeda), a French-Japanese live-action film, and multiple musicals staged by Japan’s famed Takarazuka Revue.
